Scared

You know the saying "he looked like he was going to kill you", well I experienced that "look" first hand today. Oh course, I can't tell you the specifics but what I can tell you is that I have never been more scared in my life. As I looked into the eyes of the person who would have undoubtedly punched me if I got close enough, I realized "man, my life must have been utterly and completely sheltered because I have never truly been scared of another human being until this point." In the end, everyone was fine but I really feel like I am truly a grown up now that I had a confrontation as such. Now, I know most of you will be thinking "Emily, stop exagerating. I'm sure it wasn't THAT bad". Well  to that, I would say that I have actually really been working on being 100% truthful and been trying to cut down on the exageration, I know close your mouths...Emily is capable of change!

I got my first massage last weekend! That was super duper amazing minus the construction noises in the background and the fact that I am apparently very ticklish. Me, my sister, and a friend went to the Ozarks for a relaxing spa weekend. It was lovely but judging from the silent, quiet ride home I would say we came home more tired than when we left! It was very exciting to go on my first trip as a working girl and not feeling guilty about going shopping and getting a pedicure. Hopefully more trips will be in the near future.

Well, believe it or not that is about all the excitement in my life. Oh wait, I would like to tell you all that I have found a great, new pasttime. Secondhanding! I love going to second hand stores and turning  my finds awsome pieces of decor for my little apartment. Right now I am really into old books and broaches...I think they are filled with SO much character and I LOVE the look of them. Here is a picture of what I have done with the latest book purchase. Well, actually I have no working camera so nevermind. Guess you'll just have to use your imagination.  I found this great broach at the consignmnet store that my Grandma works at and it looks like it broke at some point in it's history and then was glued back together. I thought it added to it's uniqueness but my Grandma was appalled that I would even spend 50 cents on it! Ha, well, I'll just chalk it up to generation gap. Ok that's it. See you later.
